John de Jonge
John de Jonge was admitted as a Solicitor in 2009. John has built a practice delivering excellent results primarily in Criminal, Traffic and Family Law.
John understands that as a solicitor he is dealing with matters which are going to significantly affect his client’s lives. When so much is at stake, it is critical not to take any shortcuts and good preparation is often essential to obtaining the best result.
John has a wealth of experience in Local and District Courts throughout the Illawarra and Greater Sydney. John’s experience enables him to provide honest and practical advice as to whether the charges can be defended, and if not, represent you at Court by making submissions as to why the charges should be dismissed or penalty reduced.
In Family Law, John’s negotiation skills see the majority of his matters settle with an aim to minimise court proceedings, stress and cost. When it is necessary to continue a dispute at court, John is experienced in preparing the relevant court documents, gathering evidence and representing his clients in the Family Court of Australia and the Federal Magistrates Court of Australia.
When not at work, John enjoys spending time with his wife and children in the Illawarra.
John is a member of the NSW Law Society and Family Law Legal Panel. He is a board member for Illawarra Area Child Care and presents at Traffic Offender Programs in the Illawarra.
